Ashlee Simpson is coming back, and she’s coming back big. In coming months, Simpson will air a new reality series on E!, promote her clothing line, and drop her fourth studio album.

Ashlee Simpson and Evan Ross have been married since 2014 and share two kids, but they’re about to share screen time, too. The couple will star in Ashlee+Evan, a six-episode E! reality series.

The show was filmed as they collaborated on their first duet album together and focuses on their relationship as they manage family, friends, and a new venture in music. Check out the trailer below.

“The cinematic docu-drama follows Ashlee Simpson-Ross and Evan Ross as they juggle their lives as soul mates, parents, musicians and artists,” E! wrote in a statement. “With the addition of their eclectic group of friends and famous family who fill their abode with laughter and love, there’s never a dull moment in this young duo’s household.”

Ashlee Simpson’s debut album Autobiography was the highest selling debut album by a female artist in 2004 and has since gone triple platinum. Her fourth album will be the duets album with her husband, who is the youngest son of Diana Ross and currently sings and performs in Star on FOX.

The theme, which Simpson came up with herself, is “conversations of love.”

“The couple has recorded a series of soulful duets — inspired, they say, by those performed by Ms. Ross and Marvin Gaye in the 1970s — and they will release a new track with each episode of the show,” the New York Times said. “The duets… bear little resemblance to the kind of punk-influenced pop Ms. Simpson released in the mid-2000s, however.”

Diana Ross has also had a hand in the album, which we expect will be titled Ashlee+Evan like the reality show (no confirmation yet).

“She’s so involved in our life and music and [with our] kids. As much as she’s still working like crazy, she’s so excited about all the stuff we’re doing and the music,” Ross told the New York Times of his mother.

The couple is not concerned with sales or reviews of the album, saying “the good part about this is like, it’s all love.”

Gender-Neutral Clothing by Ashlee Simpson & Evan Ross

Simpson’s current clothing line launched last month and is also a collaboration with Ross. The line is named after their 2-year-old daughter, Jagger Snow, and includes gender-neutral attire based on their relationship with each other’s wardrobe.

“When we first started dating, I was loving his closet,” Simpson told last month. “Evan has some pretty blouses, some awesome pants.”

Both Simpson and Ross told Fashionista that they both shopped the men’s and women’s section of clothing stores even before they met.

Unfortunately, prices for the line range from around $100 for a T-shirt to over $600 for a blazer. We’re hoping for more affordable clothing with the couple’s next fashion endeavor.

Note: Populove is currently undergoing site maintenance following a hiatus. Some post images and comments from previous months may not appear as we work on the issue.
