BFD Highlights: The bands and artists that made this day a really big deal

This year’s Live 105 BFD was definitely one to remember. The annual music festival always brings the best artists to the Bay and it always seems to get bigger and better with each passing year. BFD fell on June 4th this year and it surely did not disappoint. You really can’t go wrong with a line-up like The Offspring, Silversun Pickups, Fitz and the Tantrums, The Naked and Famous, BØRNS, The Wombats, Jake Bugg, and Broods–not to mention a host of other amazing bands.

The smaller bands that really stood out were Finish Ticket, Lucius, JR JR, Joywave, and SWMRS. JR JR were the first to take the Festival Stage, with their performance of their hit “Gone” stealing the hearts of everyone in the crowd. Broods, the hottest sibling-duo from New Zealand, gave it their all during their set, playing old favorites along with brand new songs from their upcoming album, Conscious. Later in the day, eclectic indie rock band Joywave totally dominated the Subsonic Tent. In the evening BØRNS took the Main Stage, winning everyone over with his smooth, crooning vocals. And of course, no one could forget feeling infinite and nostalgic at the same time during The Naked and Famous set. All in all, the one-day event was an absolutely unforgettable success.
