The internet exploded this morning with reports claiming One Direction’s recent hiatus has turned permanent. The reports come with the news that One Direction has not renewed its record contract, but that doesn’t actually mean the band is done.
A source told Billboard.com today that fans have nothing to worry about.
“Nothing has changed regarding hiatus plans for the group, and all will be revealed in due time from the band members’ own mouths,” the source told Billboard.
US Weekly seems to have been the first website to claim the group was breaking up. In an article to promote the new issue of US Weekly, the website quotes a “close source” to the boy group.
“The 1D thing just ran its course. They’ll remain friends, but they are exhausted and want solo careers,” the anonymous source says.
Who do you trust?
“We’re not breaking up,” Niall Horan told Entertainment Tonight in November. “We’re literally taking time out to see our friends and see our family, and reflect on what we’ve done over the last few years.”
We will keep you informed of updates.Note: Populove is currently undergoing site maintenance following a hiatus. Some post images and comments from previous months may not appear as we work on the issue.
