Cardi B will no longer serve as opening act for Bruno Mars on tour.
The dynamic duo were scheduled to kick off Bruno’s 24k Magic World Tour on September 7, but Cardi B needs more time to adjust to being a first-time mom.
“I thought that after giving birth to my daughter that 6 weeks would be enough time to recover mentally and physically,” she wrote on Twitter. “I also thought that I’d be able to bring her with me on tour, but I think I underestimated this whole mommy thing.”

Cardi gave birth to Kulture Kiari Cephus on July 10.
“Not only am I just not ready physically, I’m not ready to leave my baby behind since the doctors explained it’s not healthy for her to be on the road,” she wrote.
Bruno responded to the announcement on Twitter: “You are absolutely doing the right thing. I also know we will share the stage when the time is right.”
His team is currently on the hunt for a replacement act.
