The new single for Brandyn Burnette’s State I’m In EP is here and he has us hooked!
“Karma” is a refreshing sound from the upcoming artist. Blending the sounds of soft rock and radio pop, Burnette’s songwriting fits the mold for any great hit of 2016. Check out “Karma” below!
Brandyn has been playing music since the age of seven when he began learning piano and took his talent further by learning guitar at thirteen. The son of Capitol Record’s R&B artist O’Bryan, Brandyn was destined for the arts. His catalog of original music spanned over 80 songs by the time he began his span at NYU on a full scholarship.
Burnette’s musical talent has also landed him gigs touring with John Mayer and James Bay. His lyrical efforts have also gotten him writing credits on music from Charlie Puth, MKTO, and Jake Miller. With “Karma” and a fresh EP on the way, we’re excited to see how 2016 ends up for the artist.
In an age of DJs and hit-after-hit artists dominated radio air-play, Brandyn Burnette relies on his old-fashioned songwriting.
“Where do I go? I’m off the road/ Spinning till the wheels fall off/ And I’m comatose,” are the opening lyrics to his latest single.
About the song, Brandyn said:
“This record is about our actions & their ripple effect on our relationships, our community & the world. We all know the old saying ‘what goes around comes back around’. Keep your intentions good & do unto others as you would have them do unto you. ”
