Fans are in a frenzy this morning after Fifth Harmony announced an indefinite hiatus as the groups members will focus on solo endeavors.
“Reflecting on the past six years since we started on X-Factor, we’ve realized just how far we’ve come and we appreciate everything so much, more now than ever,” they wrote in a statement on social media. “We’ve really had one hell of a memorable journey together and can’t begin to express our gratitude to y’all for coming along with us on this wild ride!”
This announcement comes after the success of former FH member Camilla Cabello. Since leaving the group to go solo, Camilla had two single land in the Top 20 and a number one self-titled album.
In January, the “Never Be The Same” singer told The Edit magazine that the band brought out a “healthy competition.” After her exit, the band released their third studio album in August 2017.
The remaining Harmony members, Lauren Jauregui, Normani Kordei, Dinah Jane and Ally Brooke thanked their fans for their continued support and assured they have a few performances left before officially going solo.
“We do have some upcoming shows through the end of the year which will still happen as planned, and we can’t wait!” they wrote.
