Yes, you read that right. Forbes is speculating that there are three new Lady Gaga albums in the works, and there’s a million reasons why they’re probably right.
The three upcoming albums would be very different from each other. Here’s what we’re looking at:
1. THE SIXTH SOLO LADY GAGA ALBUM
2. TONY BENNETT AND LADY GAGA’S FOLLOWUP TO 2014’S CHEEK TO CHEEK.
3. A SOUNDTRACK FOR THE UPCOMING REMAKE OF A STAR IS BORN
Three albums might sound like a reach, but let’s look at the facts provided by Forbes writer Hugh McIntyre. We’ve thrown some additional details into the pot, too.
As McIntyre notes, Gaga has been spotted at recording studios with electronic music producers Boys Noize and BloodPop (“Perfect Illusion”). According to Idolator, she has also been working on new tracks with DJ White Shadow (“Applause,” “Born This Way”). Fans might be saying farewell to Joanne‘s acoustic sounds sooner than expected.

Let’s also consider that the star recently spent a week in New York City where she greeted fans in multiple outfits each day. This is likely the first time she’s casually changed outfits throughout the day since the ARTPOP era. We’ve added a collage of her recent fashion choices below. Sink your teeth in, Monsters.

The singer-songwriter’s Vegas residency is scheduled to begin this November, and a new album would definitely sell tickets.
CHEEK TO CHEEK 2.0
During her trip to NYC, Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga were seen entering the same recording studio on Memorial Day (May 28th). It’s possible working with Tony was the main reason for her trip to NYC; the duo have been talking about a follow-up album called Red, Hot, and Bluesince before C2C hit shelves.
“It’s going to be all Cole Porter songs. He was the best writer of all of them in the Great American Songbook. Highly intelligent. We’re going to have a lot of fun doing that,” Bennett told Vulture.com.

A STAR IS BORN (CONFIRMED)
Gaga’s first starring role in a major picture hits theaters this October. The Bradley Cooper-directed remake of A Star Is Born is anticipated to be a box office smash, and a movie soundtrack only makes sense. Gaga and Cooper filmed their performances for the movie with live vocals and have been at the studio together in recent weeks, likely fine-tuning the studio versions for a soundtrack.
“The movie will likely spin off a soundtrack, as did the 1976 remaking, which starred Barbra Streisand and Kris Kristofferson,” McIntyre wrote for Forbes. “That album went to No. 1 and sold millions, so the pressure to get it right and send it up the charts is extreme (as if it wasn’t already one of the most highly-anticipated releases of the year).”
UPDATE: The official soundtrack has been confirmed. The confirmation appears in the credits of the trailer (below).
Check out the movie trailer below, which includes a snippet of one of the soundtrack songs called “The Shallow.”
