Harry Styles to make acting debut in WWII drama

The rumors are true! One Direction’s Harry Styles is coming to the big screen in the upcoming Christopher Nolan film Dunkirk, a World War II action-drama coming to theaters next year.

According to IMDB, the film follows Operation Dynamo, in which U.S. soldiers risked their lives to rescue Allied soldiers from Dunkirk, France in 1940.

It is unknown how significant of a role Harry Styles has been given, but other cast members include Mark Rylance, Kenneth Branagh and Tom Hardy. The film is scheduled for theatrical release on July 21, 2017.

Styles is also rumored to play a part in the upcoming second season of FOX’s Scream Queens. If true, then his acting debut would actually be on the small screen. Past musicians featured on the show include Nick Jonas and Ariana Grande.

Production on the film will begin in May.
