Kanye West told a live audience on Thursday that President-elect Donald Trump would have earned his vote, had Kanye voted at all.
The statement might seem inauthentic c0ming from West, whom is known for attention-seeking behavior and comments, but the singer told fans at his San Jose concert that he’s serious: Donald Trump is his fave.
“I told y’all I didn’t vote, right? But if I would’ve voted, I would’ve voted on Trump,” he revealed during one of 13 times he stopped his show to rant.
“There’s nonpolitical methods to speaking that I like, that I feel were very futuristic. And that style, and that method of communication, has proven that it can beat a politically correct way of communication. And I f*** with that… I actually think that his approach was absolutely genius. Because it fucking worked!”
Donald Trump responded to West’s comments on Friday, saying “I’ll never say bad bout him, you know why? Cause he loves Trump. He goes around saying ‘Trump is my all time hero.’ He says it to everybody. So Kanye West… I love him. Now maybe in a few years I’ll have to run against him so I’ll take that back.”

The story doesn’t end there. The Grammy winner and father went on to tell his audience that you won’t always get your way in life, but sometimes that’s for the best.
“Sometimes things that you might think are bad need to happen, in order for change to fucking happen,” West said. “Sometimes you might have to not get your way to really understand what to do in the future, to be able to get your way.”
Unfortunately for Kanye, not all fans liked his extended explanation. The rapper thinks that fighting against racism is a distraction and African Americans should quit talking about it.
Specifically to black people, stop focusing on racism,” Kanye continued. “This world is racist, OK? Let’s stop being distracted to focus on that as much. It’s just a fucking fact. We are in a racist country, period. Do not allow people to make us talk about that so fucking long. Let’s talk about whatever the fuck you wanna talk about. Let’s stop talking about that, bro. It’s racist, OK? … And not one or the other candidate was gonna instantly be able to change that because of their views. Bottom fucking line.”
