Kendrick Lamar and Lady Gaga’s ‘PARTYNAUSEOUS’ surfaces in full

Lady Gaga and Kenrick Lamar’s 2012 collaboration “PARTYNAUSEOUS” has finally seen the light of day due to a leak on Wednesday evening.

The Gaga/ Lamar track was originally set to be released on Kenrick’s debut album good kid m.A.A.d. City, but it was scrapped due to creative differences.

“I apologize to the fans that this situation with Partynausous is confusing,” Gaga  posted on in 2012. “To it clear it up I must explain this. When I collaborate with an artist i work solely with them, not with their camps or management. Its purely organic and creative. I love Kendrick dearly as a friend, but was not willing to compromise musically to the changes his team was making to my music. This is why I am not his record. I have a very specific vision as a producer and songwriter, and I always have. That song will be released at a different time, for a different project. I love you, and think you should check out his stuff because he is truly great. He’s a good kid, its just sometimes a mad city.”

It is unclear whether the leak is just a demo or if it’s the final track, but the quality of LG’s vocals makes the track sound unfinished. Either way, “PARTYNAUSEOUS” is a very mid-tempo track with a subdued chorus belted by Lady Gaga.

“Nod if you wanna be / high with the enemy / It’s a test / of your stamina, do your best,” she sings in the hook.

Although this is the first time we’ve heard a full recording of “PARTYNAUSEOUS,” Gaga used her solo version of the track as an interlude on her ArtRAVE tour. Gaga’s solo rendition was a lot more pounding and up-beat than the final track.

Kendrick and Mother Monster still haven’t officially released a collaboration together, although a scrapped version of Lamar’s “Bitch Don’t Kill My Vibe” surfaced with Gaga lending her vocals for the hook. Kendrick told Complex in 2012 that they didn’t release that track due to deadlines.

“Lady Gaga was going to be on the song. We had a date, but we had to meet the deadline for the pre-order date. That’s just the business side coming through and messing things up. But you know it’s God’s plan. I’m not really too tight about it because I know we have something special.”

Hopefully, the two can get an official track released sometime in the future! Let us know what you think of “PARTYNAUSEOUS” in the comments below.
