In a new video to promote their appearance at Sunday’s Grammy awards, jazz legend Tony Bennett and pop martyr Lady Gaga thanked the Grammys for having them.
“It’s a wonderful opportunity for jazz and the whole jazz community to be singing on such a global stage,” Gaga says in the video.
Tony Bennett revealed that the duo will perform a song introduced to the world by Fred Astaire, a song he says will never grow old.
“By us coming together, it’s not so much about just exposing jazz to my fans but by exposing it to everybody all at once,” Gaga said. “We’re really grateful to the Grammys for having us here.”
After their performance at the Grammys, the duo have a scheduled concert performance at the Wiltern in Los Angeles. You can watch the Grammys live on Sunday at 8 p.m. Eastern / 5 p.m. Pacific on CBS.Note: Populove is currently undergoing site maintenance following a hiatus.
