Scenes from a music video for a new Kesha song titled “Woman” leaked on Thursday, confirming previous suspicions in the pop fandom that the “Die Young” singer is on the horizon of a big comeback.
The one-minute video snippet was leaked by a fan on Instagram and sees Kesha driving with friends while wearing a red, country getup reminiscent of Lady Gaga’s “Million Reasons” look.
“I do what I want/ Say what you say / I work real hard every day,” she sings in the clip. “I’m a motherfuckin’ woman, baby, alright / I don’t need a man to be holding me too tight.”
Clips of the medium-quality leak are near impossible to find online after being taken down for copyright infringement, but we’re crossing our fingers that the video, produced by Kesha and brother Logan Sebert, will resurface in full soon.
Kesha, known formally as Kesha Rose Sebert, has been nearly absent from the music scene since her 2012 album Warrior, mainly due to an ongoing lawsuit with producer Dr. Luke. The 30-year-old claims the producer drugged and raped her over a decade ago.
Other allegations include that he bullied her into an eating disorder — for which she entered rehab — and that he’s attempted to sabotage her career. Kesha also pursued action against Sony Music for allegedly covering up Dr. Luke’s abuse.
