Gaga isn’t the only chick releasing new music today! Miley Cyrus just released her latest track from the Freeheld soundtrack. “Hands Of Love” is an emotional ballad that reminds us of Miley’s incredible talent!
Fresh after the release of the singer’s avant garde-y Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz project, the toned down “Hands Of Love” packs a tear-jerking punch. The track comes from the soundtrack of the Peter Sollett film, Freehold. The film battles the subject of same-sex love and features Ellen Page and Julianne Moore.
The true story is an adaptation from Cynthia Wade’s 2017 documentary. It tells the story of Laurel Hester, a police lieutenant diagnosed with cancer, as she takes on the county’s board of chosen freeholders to leave her pension with domestic partner, Stacie Andree, after the diagnosis becomes terminal.
“In the hands of love, we carry on/ Stronger than we started/ The ash and dust of the trail behind us/ Wicked is the blinded,” Miley sings in the new song.
The “Wrecking Ball” singer also appeared on The Tonight Show last night and had a hilarious interview with Jimmy Fallon!
Miley discusses her free album, SNL, and her pets (both live and deceased) with Fallon. In the discussion of her Dead Petz album, Cyrus told a few tales about her pet pig, Pig, and her late blowfish, Pablow.
Let’s just say Miley was on point last night during this interview, but perhaps the best part of the entire show was Miley and Jimmy getting “emotional” during a segment prompting the two to act out certain emotions.
