Natalia Kills and her husband Willy Moon came under fire over the weekend — and then were fired — when they made some not-so-constructive comments regarding X Factor New Zealand contestant Joe Irvine’s performance.
Neither judges’ comments were related to the quality of Irvine’s performance, and when the brutality of what was said raised eyebrows across the globe, the two were let go from the show.
“While the judges on X Factor are expected to provide critiques of the performances, we will not tolerate destructive tirades from any of the judges,” said MediaWorks Chief Executive Mark Weldon in a statement. “We no longer have confidence that Kills and Moon are the right people to perform the role of X Factor judges, and they will leave the show, effective immediately.”
As a talented pop artist in her own right, Natalia Kills has made a name for herself opening for artists like Katy Perry and Robyn. After this weekend’s embarrassing rant, do you think she’ll ever reach the level of pop stardom she aspires to?
