New details have been reported in the 24 hours since Demi Lovato’s overdose was reported by TMZ on Tuesday.

According to reports, Demi was having an all-night party at her home in the Hollywood Hills on Monday. The singer had spent the early evening celebrating a backup dancer’s birthday at Saddle Ranch, a restaurant in West Hollywood, where sources say she seemed “happy and lucid.”

It is unknown if the party later in the evening included the same group of people as the earlier dinner in WeHo. When EMTs arrived at the scene of the overdose just before 12 p.m. PST on Tuesday, partygoers had already left, except for the singer’s team.

Editor’s Note: A previous version of this story said that first responders administered Narcan at the scene. The most recent report is that Demi Lovato’s friends treated her with Narcan before they left her home.

When first responders reached Demi’s home, her friends were gone but had treated her with Narcan before they left. One source says the drug was not heroin as previously reported. The Blast reports that Demi would not tell law enforcement what drug(s) she overdosed on but a nurse suggested that meth was involved. This may not be the case, however; Narcan is used to treat opioid overdose, not stimulant overdose.

Friends who have spoken with TMZ say the tragedy did not come as a surprise.

“They say the signs became more alarming as the days passed, and one friend says he knew for weeks she was in the danger zone,” TMZ wrote. “When he saw her this week it was apparent she was in trouble.”

Demi Lovato allegedly left her sober coach earlier this month after accusing him of betraying her.

“Demi is awake and with her family who want to express thanks to everyone for the love, prayers and support. Some of the information being reported is incorrect and they respectfully ask for privacy and not speculation as her health and recovery is the most important thing right now,” a representative wrote in a statement.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Demi Lovato and her family.
