Nicki Minaj Invites Fans to New York for Album Listening Party

Nicki Minaj announced on Twitter today that she will invite 100 fans from around the world to a studio in New York City to hear her brand new album, Queen, ahead of its release.

The star says this is not a contest, that she will be reaching out to fans “organically” to invite them.

“I’ll be doing my in-studio listening session in NEW YORK. I’ll be hitting people randomly to invite them,” Nicki tweeted on Wednesday. “All countries are eligible. My goal is to choose 100 fans I haven’t spent time w|before. You can’t ‘apply to win’. It’s just organic, not rlly a contest.”

How organic will the experience be? For starters, Nicki Minaj is calling fans personally from a cell phone to invite them.

As if a surprise listening party isn’t enough to get fans talking, Nicki also teased two more upcoming surprises. We know nothing about the first surprise, which will be announced officially tomorrow, but the second surprise sounds promising.

“The ‘other’ surprise is just as major as the album. It’s a gift that keeps on giving. It’s a dream come true for me, but for you guys as well. You’re gonna get your whole life. I hate not being able to discuss it yet but in a week & a half I’ll be able to spill,” she tweeted.

These major announcements for Nicki’s Barbz come just hours after she announced that Queen has been delayed for a second time. Luckily for you, we have the new release date here.
