Star-on-the-rise Alec Chambers shared an exclusive acoustic rendition of his song “Heart Of Gold” with POPULOVE today!
Alec is a 19-year-old singer and songwriter from Connecticut. His first EP Whole Again was released in February to critical acclaim. Chambers wrote each track from the EP and worked with famed producer and songwriter Nagourney, as well as Guariglia, the Grammy award-winning Lee Groves (Black Eyed Peas) and Jon Siebels (Eve 6).
“I have worked with Alec a number of times in the studio,” Groves said of working with Chamber. “He is a total natural and a unique talent. I am always impressed with his musicality and ability to play different instruments and parts quickly and effortlessly.”
The rising star performs regularly at the Path Café, Rockwood Music Hall and The Bitter End. He also took his talents to the Montauk Music Festival, and afterwards was named “one of the Montauk Music Festival’s most promising musicians” by the Montauk Sun.
Chambers also performed at Nashville’s Bluebird Café and wrote with a number of notable Nashville songwriters including Chris Rodriguez and Aaron Espe.
Whole Again was produced by Robbie Gauriglia and is available on iTunes here! Check out the exclusive acoustic version above and the original studio edition below.
