Following the premiere of his bizarre dailymotion documentary, “Will.i.am au Louvre,” the former pea released videos for music both new and old (very old)!
The first video is for his wild new single, featuring Pia Mia, called “Boys & Girls.” The video decorates what I imagine is an average day for the hip hop-gone-philanthropist. In it, Will.i.am and Pia Mia join the squad in some flashy dance scenes and if that isn’t inspiration enough to check out the video, the song is pretty awesome in its own right.
The second, as promotion to his art-doc. Will.i.am went back to the archives and finally released a video for his 2013 release, “Mona Lisa Smile.” No, we aren’t joking. The video, released on April 16th, is for a song from his “#willpower” solo album released three years ago. Though in Will’s defense, the track is a revision of the original and the video is dope.
“Mona Lisa Smile”‘s video features Will.i.am and the song’s feature, Nicole Scherzinger face-dubbed into famous works of art, including Mona Lisa and Girl With A Pearl Earring.
The video above was directed by Michael Jurkovac with Pasha Shapiro bringing the paintings to life. We’re not positive if the new music is leading to a new solo album from the singer/ producer or if it’s merely stand alone.
